It's been kind of difficult for me to reaffirm my identity when I have no drive or motivation to go further. But it was a huge wake-up call and I am re-determined that I will make sure no one gets in my way. I cannot accept someone's groundless criticism toward me based on just how they feel. Nobody knows exactly what I have gone through.
I have been just tripping, giving myself room to improve for awhile.
But it is over.
Let's get things going for real.

Only 1 year and 10 months left to go before I will be on my own, I mean "completely" on my own. I have to admit that I feel protected and secured within the boundaries of schools, friends and even this military service.
Sadly, now I see myself as a helpless young man with less desire and passion than they used to be. Even if I have been trying so hard to think about what I am going to do after all this, I could not come up with a perfect plan for the future.
I should be aware of the fact that nothing will guarantee my life to be prosperous and promising, which sometimes scares the hell out of me. The more time I spend drawing a map of my career, the blurrier it becomes.
I believe there are so many options I could take, but still I do not feel that I could stick to any one of them. Finding "it" is the only key to open the unseen door.

Language localisation
Language localisation[1] (from the English term "locale" and abbreviated in the numeronym "L10N", the 10 being a way of replacing the middle 10 letters of the word) can be defined as the second phase of a larger process (Internationalisation) of product translation and cultural adaptation (for specific countries, regions, groups) to account for differences in distinct markets. Thus, it is important not to reduce it to a mere translation activity because it involves a comprehensive study of the target culture in order to correctly adapt the product.
The localisation process is most generally related to cultural adaptation and translation of software, video games and websites, and less frequently to any written translation (although these also involve cultural adaptation processes). The process of localising can be done for regions or countries where people speak different languages, or where the same language is spoken. Just recall the language differences in countries where Spanish is natively spoken (for instance in South America), or where English is the official language (e.g. in the United States, the United Kingdom and the Philippines).

When you develop an infatuation for someone, you always find a reason to believe that this is exactly the person for you. It doesn't need to be a good reason. Taking photographs of the night sky, for example. Now, in the long run, that's the kind of dumb, irritating habit, that would cause you to split up. But in the haze of infatuation, it's just what you've been searching for all these years.

The fact that I have been part of diplomatic efforts toward Indonesian Navy could compensate me for a loss of time and mental exhaustion. Plus, CAPT Edy asked to me to come over to his place in Seoul to have dinner sometime later. I believe getting to know someone new is one of those of things that I could take advantage of while living inside the barracks -_-.

had to go back to office at 2130 to translate a document from USN and got out at 2300...on my way back to BOQ I stopped for a sec to look up into the sky wondering how people in this planet,,in this universe actually feel fulfilled after finishing what they are supposed to do at work...tonight, obviously I was not one of those who do feel that way...no wonder people sometimes picture themselves throwing a bunch of paper right into their boss' face...I wish all of you who are reading this to "suck honey" wherever you work!

It has already been a year since the change of my social status. People say time flies and it really does. I have made a lot of good friends in and out of the navy but at the same time I had to deal with some relationship problems that I did not encounter very often before. Having gone through that kind of painful experiences has taught me how to control my emotion thinking and also behaving rationally in a certain situation. Still, there is a lot of room for improvement I could work on. Realizing that there are only two years left from tonight until another beginning in my life makes me think about even little consequences that I will make every single day. For the next two years, unexpected things will happen again and again regardless of my intention and willingness. I just hope I could overcome them with good people around me just like I have successfully had.
It's late in the evening; she's wondering what clothes to wear.
She puts on her make-up and brushes her long blonde hair.
And then she asks me, "Do I look all right?"
And I say, "Yes, you look wonderful tonight."
We go to a party and everyone turns to see
This beautiful lady that's walking around with me.
And then she asks me, "Do you feel all right?"
And I say, "Yes, I feel wonderful tonight."
I feel wonderful because I see
The love light in your eyes.
And the wonder of it all
Is that you just don't realize how much I love you.
It's time to go home now and I've got an aching head,
So I give her the car keys and she helps me to bed.
And then I tell her, as I turn out the light,
I say, "My darling, you were wonderful tonight.
Oh my darling, you were wonderful tonight."

More Than Just Talk
The number of text messages sent and received in the United States may surpass voice calls, but voice still is the main reason most people buy mobile phones. Still, technology and applications companies continue to find ways to use voice on a phone for things other than having conversations.
Google, which has had a voice application for business search for some time, recently expanded its voice platform with an application capable of using all of the company’s search functionality. The free service, which is location enabled, is only available so far as an application for Apple’s iPhone but is expected to be available for other smartphones in the future.

Please give me wisdom and courage to change something or someone that others do not even think about dealing with. Yes, I admit that this time I went a little bit too far and I might have to apologize for causing trouble that I did not mean to do. But only reason I did that is to show how much determined I am to dedicate my effort and expertise in the field. The ROK Navy has chosen me as an English expert. Don't you think they at least have to let me help them when it comes to English related issues? Well, in like 2 and a half years from now I really want to see myself saying "God what a tough ride, but it was worth it!"

But again, you see, even right now I am trying to come up with something new...for me to always look for instant answers to every uncertainty that I have is quite obsessive. somebody please help me out here?

What Are You Passionate About?
Today's world is more focused on the fast paced style that we have set for ourselves than the dreams and hopes that once fueled our aspirations. We get so very caught up in our responsibilities that the obligations and expectations of our lives makes for a more important goals than our true passions. Many people feel that if they focus on themselves they are being selfish and cutting the attention to the other aspects of their lives that they have deemed more important, thus leaving room for those inner most desires lacking.
There are several self-help articles about how to make one happier and more fulfilled. But it all starts with realizing your true passion. What motivates you? What makes you smile? Or even, when you were a child what did you want to be when you grew up?
The first step to finding happiness is realizing what it is that makes you want to get up and start moving in the morning. Those aspects of life that leave you whistling are the ones that hold the key to the passions of life.
As we grow up and grow older, we often take the more traveled road to adulthood. We attend college and achieve degree status in order to obtain a "real" job. This conformation to societal ideals about living often leave the passions that once gave us fire and hope dead in the water. Women give up their dreams to raise children, men leave the their true callings behind for fear of not being what their families would hope they would become. When we leave our passions behind, who are we really becoming and is that person the true person we always wanted to be?
Rediscovering your passion may actually be harder than you think it should be. After lying stale in our minds for so long, those small things that once drove us often become alien in nature and need to be rekindled and reworked in order to find a place in our every day lives. The best path is to revert to your youth. Think back to what things made you most happy. Remember the passions that made you smile and the hobbies that once held such a high importance in your life and make room for those passions again.
Once you discover your passion, pursue it! For some, it may be scary to step outside of the norm and onto a path less traveled. But personal growth only happens when we extend ourselves beyond our usual boundaries. You don't have to neglect your responsibilities to pursue your passion. It may simply be to take an art class at a local community center or you may find that you wish to switch careers and become a graphic designer. Determine what you are passionate about and then find ways to embrace it.
There is no amount of money in the world that can measure up to the payment your passion can provide. While the payment may not increase your checkbook or give you that promotion at work, it will give you back a sense of yourself that has been lost for a very long time.
Stop right now and think about those things that made youth so wonderful. If only for a moment, take a step back 10, 20, 30, 50 years and find that one thing that drove your mind to the limits of happiness. Once you have that thought firmly in your grasp, go for it!

I've been working at the International Fleet Review Planning Group in Daejeon where I got newly stationed a couple of weeks ago. The purpose of transferring me to here from CNBC was to support officers in charge of translation and interpretation. But as a matter of fact what I mainly do is to gather information from the participants and also organize some IFR plans. Fortunately, I'm working with my OCS seniors who are too nice to give me their own workload. :)

Do what you love
“A study of business school graduates tracked the careers of 1,500 people from 1960 to 1980. From the beginning, the graduates were grouped into two categories. Category A consisted of people who said they wanted to make money first so they could do what they really wanted to do later after they took care of their financial concerns. Those in category B pursued their interests first, sure that the money eventually would follow.
What percentage fell into each category? Of the 1,500 graduates in the survey, the money-now category A’s comprised 83 percent or 1,245 people. Category B risk takers made up 17 percent, 255 graduates.
After 20 years, there were 101 millionaires in the group. Only one came from Category A, 100 from category B."

Why losing weight is so hard and gaining weight is so easy
You just went away for the weekend and you came back to find that you gained 5 pounds over the course of 3 days. In your disbelief, you quickly curse the Weight Gods for being so cruel. Sound familiar? This was me last weekend. A little jaunt to Montreal, eating at decadent cafes, packed it on quick. This inspired me to discuss the seemingly unbalanced equation of weight gain vs. weight loss, the facts that surround the issue and how losing the 5 pounds feels so much harder than gaining them:

Winning 1st baseball gold
By KELLY OLSEN, Associated Press Writer
SEOUL, South Korea (AP)—South Korea erupted in joy Saturday after the country claimed its first Olympic gold medal in baseball by beating perennial powerhouse Cuba in a nail-biting final to stay undefeated in Beijing.
South Koreans gathered in homes, bars, restaurants, public squares and a Seoul stadium to cheer for their team in the most important game in their country’s baseball history.
The final two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, courtesy of a clutch bases loaded double-play, sealed South Korea’s 3-2 win.
“It’s great. I’m overjoyed,” said Cho Chong-eun, a mobile communications company employee who had joined several hundred people to watch the game on a big screen television on a muggy night in a downtown Seoul square.

If not me, who? If not now, when?
The world may be divided by peoples of different languages but knowledge transcends the barriers of language. Doing translation from one language to another is both a skill and an art. Mere knowledge or scholarship on two languages alone can not make one qualified to be a good translator. I'm sure that only passion will lead me to become a good translator.

Ulchi-Freedom Guardian is the new name (as of 2008) of the military exercise previously known as Ulchi-Focus Lens, a joint military exercise between South Korea and the United States. The exercise is the world's largest computerized command and control implementation which mainly focuses on defending South Korea from a North Korean attack. The exercise was initiated in 1976 and is conducted annually during August or September. The word 'Ulchi' comes from the name of a famous Korean general called Eulji Mundeok who was the Commander-In-Chief of the army of Goguryeo.

August 15, 1945
Gwangbokjeol is one of the Public holidays in South Korea. It commemorates liberation from Japan and the subsequent creation of the Korean government three years later. It is celebrated yearly in both South Korea and North Korea; in the latter, it is known as Chogukhaebangŭi nal.
Despite the date, Korea did not gain actual independence on August 15, 1945 (except for the short-lived People's Republic of Korea), but was occupied by the armies of the world's two superpowers, who oversaw the decommissioning of Japanese troops on the peninsula. The North was occupied by the Red Army and governed by the Soviet Civil Authority. The South was occupied by the United States starting August 13, 1945.
South Korea was not independent until Syngman Rhee was sworn in as first president of South Korea on August 13, 1948. There is speculation as to why the celebration is August 15, one of them supposing a political strategy to associate Korean independence with the date of Japan's surrender to the Allies of World War II (August 15, 1945), though the true reason is unclear.

All staff at the operations department are off today. It's a rewarding holiday from the CNBC commander because he thought we had worked hard throughout the President and his families' visit. I don't know whether I deserved it or not...tomorrow new US seventh fleet, Commander will be visiting our base, which is like the biggest event I have to participate in. I hope they will not be talking about naval strategies and tactics using terminologies that I'm still not used to ;; then I'm gonna be in big trouble. better keep my fingers crossed.

CNO Releases Podcast on Maritime BMD
"Even though it may be the AEGIS ships that are the ones launching the missiles that intercept the ballistic missiles, it's the total Navy approach. It's the ability for all of the information to be fused; for all of our ships to be out operating globally, operating forward, providing for that sea control and being ready to project power wherever and whenever needed. We're a total Navy, we're a great Navy and we're a Navy made up of great Sailors," Roughead said.

The Redeem Team
The '92 Olympic hoops squad of Magic, Michael and Larry was "the Dream Team." The nickname du jour for '08: "the Redeem Team." James likes the ring of it. That's a guarantee.

My First Laptop Computer
Toshiba Satellite L310
Design
The design concept of Toshiba's Satellite L310, like its elder sister L300, is basic. It's a straightforward two-tone laptop in silver and black, and doesn't pretend to be "personalised" to your needs. There's no mess of multimedia buttons either, or a fingerprint scanner. However, simplicity reduces cost, and more resource allocated for true performance other than trying to be fancy.
Features
Satellite L310 features a webcam at the top of the 14.1-inch, 1,280 by 800 screen; modem port on the back; 6-in-1 card reader, wireless on/off switch, headphone and microphone jack, 3 USB port and DVD SuperMulti drive, Ethernet port, VGA out. The L310 is clearly targeted at those who don't update their laptop that often, and are working off a budget.
Internally, it's just functional — a single core Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor, 1GB of RAM will get you by, the Intel GMA X3100 is workable and the 120GB hard drive is a pretty good size for a budget laptop. Make no bones about it, this is not a fancy machine, but for the cost it's really hard to complain — the specs and price makes this the perfect cheap office or Internet machine.

The true story of the very brightest young minds in the country - and how they took Vegas for millions. Ben Campbell is a shy, brilliant M.I.T. student who -- needing to pay school tuition -- finds the answers in the cards. He is recruited to join a group of the school's most gifted students that heads to Vegas every weekend armed with fake identities and the know-how to turn the odds at blackjack in their favor. With unorthodox math professor and stats genius Micky Rosa leading the way, they've cracked the code. By counting cards and employing an intricate system of signals, the team can beat the casinos big time. Seduced by the money, the Vegas lifestyle, and by his smart and sexy teammate, Jill Taylor, Ben begins to push the limits. Though counting cards isn't illegal, the stakes are high, and the challenge becomes not only keeping the numbers straight, but staying one step ahead of the casinos' menacing enforcer: Cole Williams.

STEM
STEM (The Society for Teaching English through Media) aims to develop learning materials and teaching methodology based on the use of movies and multimedia in English language learning.
English competence is important for Korean students in a number of ways. It acts as a criterion to judge a student's academic achievement, and becomes the means for students to achieve their educational goals. Korean students of all ages are known to have tried every possible English learning method available through private language institutes and technological means. They have an unquenchable zeal to improve their English competency and to gain high scores in every kind of English test. However, many of them have become tired of existing ways of learning English and doubtful about their efficiency. As a result, there is a lot of interest in new ways of learning English.
A new area of interest for Korean English learners is through using movies as learning materials. Regardless of their age, for many people movies are one of the most popular cultural items. Their use is recognized as being efficacious for English learning and teaching despite the fact that they are not specifically made as educational materials. As part of their inherent interest, movies offer a wide variety of stories and genres such as action, romance and comedy that allow learners to choose content and style according to their preference.

Title No. 17 Has A Familiar Smell For Celtics
BOSTON -- Cigar smoke.
The smell was unmistakable, wafting through the air some 15 feet from the Celtics' bench as Paul Pierce joined in on the Gino dance and Kevin Garnett bounded up and down with joy.
There were still two minutes and 21 seconds remaining in a Game 6 that for all intents and purposes had been over for at least an hour, the fans were chanting "Se-ven-teen" and coach Doc Rivers was still a few moments away from being doused with a bucket of orange Gatorade.
Security guards were already lined up along the perimeter of the court, holding a long rope that would serve as a crowd control device for any ruffians who dared try to rush the celebration, and a fan nearby was holding up a sign that read: "Light One Up for Red."
Somebody had already lit one up, though the source of the cigar smoke could not be located. And to me, that was just as well, because I'd like to close this season with just the slightest belief that the source of that smell was a ghost, a ghost with nine championship rings who will be able to rest in peace a little longer knowing that the man chasing ring No. 10, Lakers coach Phil Jackson, would be flying back to Los Angeles without the record for most NBA championships by a coach.

Everything around me has failed to impress me over and over again since the moment I decided to change things in my life...everything is just being mundane to me..how many more efforts should I be making to turn them into something rather interesting and exciting?...or do I just have to wait for things to turn around themselves? Man, this is the most boring and colorless period of my life...but I guess this is also part of life. Right?

For Pierce, the Time Is Now
BOSTON, June 6, 2008 -- It took him 10 years to get here. With the additions of Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett, his team finally has the pieces to win a championship.
The time is now.
So, Paul Pierce will not allow his knee injury to derail him. Not when his team has already won 79 games this season and needs just three more for a title.
When a player injures his knee like Pierce did in Game 1 Thursday night, in addition to having his mobility tested, it's typical to undergo an MRI to determine if there is any structural damage to the knee.
But Pierce has not undergone an MRI and has no plans to do so until the Finals are over. He doesn't want to know exactly what's wrong with him, because a diagnosis he doesn't like could end his series, and his season, early.
"What is it really going to tell us?" he asked rhetorically Friday. "The extent of the injury, but at this point with two weeks left, six games to go, we can figure this out after the season." Instead of an MRI, the Celtics
"Ligament sprain or meniscus tear is more likely."
Pierce called his knee "sore" and "stiff" Friday afternoon, and said that he still had some "sharp pain" on the inside of his knee. An orthopedist friend of mine says that a sharp pain on the inside of a knee sounds like a meniscus tear. After the game Thursday night, Pierce said that the doctor told him it was a "strained meniscus."
If the meniscus is just strained or torn, then Pierce probably doesn't risk further damage to his knee by playing on it. But if he doesn't have full range of motion in his knee, there's a possibility that the meniscus slipped into the knee joint, locking it up. And in that case, there is a risk of more damage.
Pierce said that if Game 2 was Friday night, he wouldn't be playing. But the Finals schedule gives him two full days before the second game (Sunday, 9 p.m. ET, ABC), and that allows him to get rest and treatment. With the off days, and considering the stakes, Pierce likes the chances that he'll play on Sunday.
"I think there's a great chance I'll play on Sunday," he said. "Just knowing myself, knowing my threshold for pain ... great chance I will be playing on Sunday."
In a way, Pierce's disregard for his injury is very similar to the way Kobe Bryant put off surgery on a torn ligament in his right pinkie just before the All-Star break. The Lakers were playing well at the time and had just acquired Pau Gasol. Bryant, sensing his team had a real shot at a top seed in the West, and in turn, a championship, played through pain rather than allow the injury to slow his team's momentum.
A year ago, Pierce and Bryant were playing pickup in L.A., unhappy with their situations with their current teams. Now, they're both in the NBA Finals. They know the alternative.
So, Bryant felt for his friend when he went down, and was glad to see him back on the floor.
"I was happy to see him come out there," Bryant said Friday, "until he made those two damn threes."
Those two threes at the end of the third quarter helped put Pierce's Celtics just three games away from the title. And as great a team as they are, there's no guarantee that they'll be back here again. A combined 32 seasons in the league from Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen without a Finals appearance will tell you that.
So, Pierce doesn't want to know if his knee has structural damage. He just wants to know that he step out onto the floor Sunday night.
"It still could be worse than I'm really putting off," he said. "I mean, I'm not planning on getting an MRI until after the season. So I mean, it could be bad, but right now I'm just getting treatments and see how I feel on Sunday."
No matter what, the Celtics' captain is hobbled. Even if he can play, he probably won't be at the top of his game. But his presence, hobbled or not, may be enough.
It was in Game 1.

Q) Some young men today want to be better fathers to their children than the fathers of previous generations were to their children. what are your feelings on this issue? Write an essay explaining how to be the ideal father.
Being a father is the toughest job anyone will every have. There are numerous qualities required for doing this job right. If I had to choose, I would say that being emotionally warm and available, setting clear boundaries, and being physically available are the top qualities any good father should possess.
First, a good father should be emotionally warm and available. For example, my father always was always there to listen when I needed to talk about something growing up. If I was sad because of something that happened at school, he would listen while I shared my feeling. If I needed a hug, I always got it and if I was scared, mom and dad always put their arms around me.
Second, a good father also sets very clear boundaries. For example. in Korea, many children are spoiled by their parents. I believe a good parent shows love by not spoiling his child with countless material gifts. They need to teach their children a lesson that people have to earn something valuable through hard works.
Finally, a good father is physically available. For example, my mom and dad participated in numerous activities with me when I was growing up. We went hiking together, had picnics in the park, and played games at home. My father spent a lot of time with me and this made me feel loved. This was very important to me and I look back on it as evidence of dad's deep sense of care.
So, a good father is emotionally available, sets clear boundaries and is physically available. There are numerous other qualities of a good father, but these are the foundations from which all those other qualities flow.

There have been ups and downs for the last six years of my life. There is the one thing I am really proud of on the journey to where I am. That is not the results which have come out but the fact that I constantly stuck to what I believed in and had the courage to follow my heart with conviction. Never had doubts about nor questioned my will. As I said it before, pure dedication will always pay off in so many different ways, which could be expected/unexpected or tangible/intangible. Life gives you a reward disguised as something you never would have thought of for being yourself. So don't ever give up on anything so naively and easily without giving it your best shot. Who knows? Something extraordinary might be just around the corner desperately waiting to be caught by you.

American Version of a 된장 girl
What am I doing wrong?
Okay, I’m tired of beating around the bush. I’m a beautiful
(spectacularly beautiful) 25 year old girl. I’m articulate and classy.
I’m not from New York . I’m looking to get married to a guy who makes at
least half a million a year. I know how that sounds, but keep in mind
that a million a year is middle class in New York City , so I don’t think
I’m overreaching at all.
Are there any guys who make 500K or more on this board? Any wives? Could you send me some tips? I dated a business man who makes average around 200 - 250. But that’s where I seem to hit a roadblock. 250,000 won’t get me to central park west. I know a woman in my yoga class who was married to an investment banker and lives in Tribeca, and she’s not as pretty as I am, nor is she a great genius. So what is she doing right? How do I get to her level?
Here are my questions specifically:
- Where do you single rich men hang out? Give me specifics- bars,
restaurants, gyms
-What are you looking for in a mate? Be honest guys, you won’t hurt my
feelings
-Is there an age range I should be targeting (I’m 25)?
- Why are some of the women living lavish lifestyles on the upper east
side so plain? I’ve seen really ‘plain jane’ boring types who have
nothing to offer married to incredibly wealthy guys. I’ve seen drop dead
gorgeous girls in singles bars in the east village. What’s the story
there?
- Jobs I should look out for? Everyone knows - lawyer, investment
banker, doctor. How much do those guys really make? And where do they
hang out? Where do the hedge fund guys hang out?
- How you decide marriage vs. just a girlfriend? I am looking for
MARRIAGE ONLY
Please hold your insults - I’m putting myself out there in an honest
way. Most beautiful women are superficial; at least I’m being up front
about it. I wouldn’t be searching for these kind of guys if I wasn’t
able to match them - in looks, culture, sophistication, and keeping a
nice home and hearth.

THE RESPONSE

Dear Pers-431649184:
I read your posting with great interest and have thought meaningfully
about your dilemma. I offer the following analysis of your predicament.
Firstly, I’m not wasting your time, I qualify as a guy who fits your
bill; that is I make more than $500K per year. That said here’s how I
see it.
Your offer, from the prospective of a guy like me, is plain and simple a
cr@ppy business deal. Here’s why. Cutting through all the B.S., what you
suggest is a simple trade: you bring your looks to the party and I bring
my money. Fine, simple. But here’s the rub, your looks will fade and my
money will likely continue into perpetuity…in fact, it is very likely
that my income increases but it is an absolute certainty that you won’t
be getting any more beautiful!
So, in economic terms you are a depreciating asset and I am an earning
asset. Not only are you a depreciating asset, your depreciation
accelerates! Let me explain, you’re 25 now and will likely stay pretty
hot for the next 5 years, but less so each year. Then the fade begins in
earnest. By 35 stick a fork in you!
So in Wall Street terms, we would call you a trading position, not a buy
and hold…hence the rub…marriage. It doesn’t make good business sense
to “buy you” (which is what you’re asking) so I’d rather lease. In case
you think I’m being cruel, I would say the following. If my money were
to go away, so would you, so when your beauty fades I need an out. It’s
as simple as that. So a deal that makes sense is dating, not marriage.
Separately, I was taught early in my career about efficient markets. So,
I wonder why a girl as “articulate, classy and spectacularly beautiful”
as you has been unable to find your sugar daddy. I find it hard to
believe that if you are as gorgeous as you say you are that the $500K
hasn’t found you, if not only for a tryout.
By the way, you could always find a way to make your own money and then we wouldn’t need to have this difficult conversation.
With all that said, I must say you’re going about it the right way.
Classic “pump and dump.”
I hope this is helpful, and if you want to enter into some sort of
lease, let me know.

Finally, after much self-reflection, Will decides to take a risk. When his buddies buy him a car for his 21st birthday he decides to go to California to live with Skylar, casting aside his lucrative job offers. He leaves a note for Sean explaining what he's doing, using one of Sean's own quips,
"I had to go see about a girl." Sean also leaves to travel the world, though not before reconciling with Lambeau. The movie ends as Chuckie discovers Will has left and Will drives to California.

Streams of thoughts
"There are three main streams of thoughts: negative, neutral, and positive. All thoughts of similar frequencies will gather and flow within the same stream. Negative thoughts will flow in the negative stream and positive thoughts in the positive stream. When you are in the negative stream you can only access thoughts within that stream, although it may take different forms. You will remain in any stream until you choose to switch. It's not an automatic transition. You cannot switch from the negative to the positive without first accessing the neutral stream. If you are feeling bad and want to feel better, focus on something mundane or routine until you settle into that neutral feeling. Once there you can start focusing on happy feelings to move into the positive stream."

Whenever I let myself down, or when I just wanted to hide from others or avoid situations which I did not want to be in, playing basketball was the only way to cheer myself up as well as an escape from the boredom of my everyday life. It's been a big part of my life since I watched MJ playing wearing the number 23 on TV who blew my mind. I was 14 back then. But from now on I don't think I'll have enough time to enjoy it for a while. Because there's much more important things I should take care of and also there's much more precious times I'd love to spend with someone whom I love.

Korean leaders sign peace pledge
SEOUL, South Korea (CNN) -- North Korea and South Korea on Thursday agreed to begin work on a peace plan that would officially put an end to the Korean War.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Il and South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun signed an eight-point agreement in the North Korean capital, Pyongyang, pledging to replace the cease-fire accord signed at the end of the Korean War.
"South and North Korea agree on (the) need to end the current armistice and establish permanent peace," the fourth point of the agreement says. In addition, the two sides will push "for a declaration of the ending of the Korean War in cooperation with neighboring nations."
The nations have remained technically at war for 54 years; an armistice was signed on July 27, 1953.
The pact also calls for a "smooth implementation" of the six-party nuclear agreements inked earlier in the year that will lead to the shutdown of North Korea's nuclear facilities and disable them.
The reclusive communist nation has agreed to disable nuclear facilities at its main Yongbyon reactor complex by December 31, according to a joint six-nation agreement released Wednesday by China.
A U.S. team, including technical experts, will head to North Korea next week and take the lead in making sure the nuclear facilities are disabled, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill said Wednesday.
The reconciliation pact also calls for North and South Korean leaders to meet often for discussions on "pending issues," including a meeting between Korean prime ministers in Seoul in November.
Military ministers for the two Koreas will meet in Pyongyang on Friday.
Economic cooperation and a proposed exchange of video letters between families separated by the divided Korean peninsula also featured on the long list of agreements reached during the summit.
South Korea declined a request by Kim for Roh to extend the summit one day, according to South Korean reporters covering the summit in Pyongyang.
According to the South Korean press corps, Kim said, "How about returning to Seoul on Friday after having a leisurely lunch tomorrow and do the things originally planned for this afternoon?"
The formal talks between Kim and Roh, which opened on Wednesday, marked the first summit between the split nations in seven years.
On Tuesday Roh became the first South Korean leader to walk across the heavily fortified Demilitarized Zone between the two countries. His predecessor, Kim Dae-jung, flew to Pyongyang for the first Korean leaders summit in 2000.
"As president, I'm crossing this forbidden line this time," Roh said. "After I'm back, I hope that more people will follow suit, and then this forbidden line will eventually be erased."

i did feel really badly about what happened yesterday probably in a different way you did. but it hit me so hard that i actually lost control and said something that hurt you. i don't think i didn't mean what i said, because at the very moment that was what i felt and i was trying to tell you how i felt and what i thought. i should have been more cautious about the words i chose and the way i said it. i don't exactly what convinced me to talk you into believing in what i believe. i was under the impression that if i told you something that i am pretty sure about and passionate about, you'd feel the same way i do. i can't take back what i said.

I remember the moment my life changed, the moment I finally said,
"I've had it!" I knew I was much more than I was demonstrating mentally, emotionally, and physically in my life. I made a decision in that moment which was to alter my life maybe forever. I decided to change virtually every aspect of my life. I decided I would never again settle for less than
I can be.
so true.

“I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment, and life's greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their dreams from those who live in regret.”

"One can express themselves only with the vocabularies they know."
I don't quite agree with that quote.
There are unlimited ways of expressing you inner voice.
You can define things not only with words but simply with gestures.
Open your eyes. Feel them at firsthand.
Otherwise you might end up judging things without knowing what they really ever were.

Park life began under Hiddink
Korea Republic and Manchester United star Park Ji-Sung has told FIFA.com that he would not have achieved the levels of success he has enjoyed so far in his career without the guidance of Dutch coach Guus Hiddink.
In an exclusive interview with the official website of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Korea 2007, the industrious midfielder also challenged young players to follow his lead and move to Europe to complete their footballing education.
Born in Suwon, one of the venues for Korea 2007, Park began playing football at the age of 11, winning various awards for his precocious talent. After being rejected by a host of clubs in Korea, he attended Myung-Ji University to continue his footballing career. Yet it was not until Hiddink was appointed coach of the Taeguk Warriors in the year 2000 that his career began to blossom.
"When I was young, I always tried to play at a club that was more advanced than my level, so I was continually challenging myself to attain higher goals," he said. "Fortunately for me, I was selected by the national team while I was still at university. Then I went to Eindhoven and gained European experience. But it was Guus Hiddink who turned my career around. By believing in me, he made me believe in myself. That is such an important thing for a young footballer."
Park, an integral part of the Korea Republic team that finished fourth at Korea/Japan 2002, moved to PSV Eindhoven in 2003 before completing a dream move to Manchester United in 2005. In the Old Continent, he has witnessed at first-hand the benefits of state-of-the-art training facilities for youngsters and feels that emerging talents from Asia must move to Europe's elite clubs if they want to realise their potential.
"The facilities for young players are better in Europe than in Korea," he continued. "Here, they play on grass, whereas back home they play on hard surfaces or artificial turf. Generally, young professionals in the Netherlands and England belong to a club which has great facilities in order for them to develop their talent. In Korea they only play for their school and are not part of a club.
"Football in Asia is improving, but it will take time to reach European standards. For me, it's important for Asian players to come to Europe's top-level teams to learn how to play. But If I could give one piece of advice for the young players in Korea, it would be: enjoy playing the game and don't give up on your goals."
Sir Alex a mirror image
Having benefited from the tutelage of a Dutch master for club and country, Park is now learning from another of Europe's leading managerial lights, Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford. "Yes, I see similarities between the two," he smiled. "Both are excellent coaches and they always encourage me and my team-mates to show our abilities. I find that players who play under their management always give 100 per cent in every game."
United's No13, who underwent surgery on a troublesome knee injury during their title-winning campaign of 2006/7, has been a frustrated spectator on the sidelines over the past six months, but has been heartened by the Red Devils transfer activity. The 26-year-old has also pencilled in a comeback date of early 2008, with his return eagerly anticipated by fans in England and the Far East.
"I'm confident that we can retain the Premiership title this season," he said. "We've got a good squad and the manager has brought some good players into the team to improve it even further. The new signings have all impressed me in different ways. Nani is very quick, Owen [Hargreaves] works hard and Carlos [Tevez] has great vision. Anderson hasn't played much, but I am looking forward to seeing more of him. Hopefully, I'll be playing again early in the New Year. My knee is getting better; it's a case of so far, so good."

jinx ?!
Why are all of these things happening to me today ?! I just wasted 3 hours of my life doing something worthless.
But meeting you totally made up for all of them. :P
I was sooooo bored that I decided to give myself a chance to look around this newly built language center located just right in front of our old building. I am SO jealous, though. I hope the future SNUT students will efficiently utilize all the equipment and fully enjoy this new atmosphere. For a second there I was thinking about re-opening a study group and then the bad memories rushing in I was like "oh stop it, please...not again" But if anyone asks me to join their meeting I'd seriously consider that. :)

New Experience To Be
Having the perfect girlfriend gave me this excellent opportunity to perform my skills helping out foreigners who will be visiting Seoul, Korea for the 12th World Conference on Lung Cancer being held September 2-6, 2007 at COEX. But that's not the best part. The best part about it is that we are going to do it together !! hehe :) I guess what Sammy and I are going to be in charge of is assisting together with ICS staff whenever help is needed and also making good impressions of Korea to foreign visitors. She will definitely put a big smile on visitors' faces by her kind hospitality, which Sammy specializes in. I'm really looking forward to this conference. Sam made fun of me getting all excited about getting complimentary food & beverage during volunteer shifts. But doesn't matter kk I hope it's going to be a buffet. :P

8.15 The Independence Day of Korea
Yoon Bong-Gil (21 June 1908, Yesan, Korea - 19 December 1932 Kanazawa, Japan) was a member of the Korean resistance movement fighting the Japanese occupation of Korea. He was involved in an attempt to assassinate the Japanese Emperor.
On 29th April, 1932, he carried out a bombing attack using a bomb disguised as a package of food at a Japanese army celebration of Emperor Hirohito's birthday in Shanghai. The bombing killed Yoshinori Shirakawa, a general of the Japanese Imperial Army, and Kawabata Sadaji, a Government Chancellor of Japanese residents in Shanghai. It also seriously injured Ueta Kenkichi, Division 9 commander of the Japanese Imperial Army, Kuramatsu Murai, Japanese Consul-General in Shanghai, and Shigemitsu Mamoru, Japanese Envoy in Shanghai.
Yoon was arrested at the scene and convicted by Japanese military court in Shanghai on 25th May. He was transferred to Osaka prison on 18th November, and executed in Kanazawa on 18th December. He was buried in Nodayama graveyard.
In May 1946, his remains were excavated by Korean residents in Japan, transferred to Seoul and given funeral rites. He was then reburied in the Korean National Cemetery. In 1962, the government of South Korea's Second Republic praised his bombing attack, and posthumously bestowed the Republic of Korea Cordon (Grand Cordon) of the Order of Liberation Merit on him.
